As Shizuku’s story unfolds, we meet Seiji Amasawa, a young cellist who is struggling to find his place in the world. Seiji is determined to become a professional musician, but his parents are pressuring him to pursue a more traditional career. The two meet at the library, and their initial encounter is marked by a series of awkward and humorous misunderstandings.

The film tells the story of Shizuku Tsukishima, a 14-year-old girl who loves to read and write. She spends most of her free time devouring books from the local library, and her favorite authors are Seiji Amasawa and a mysterious writer known only as “Shin”. As Shizuku navigates the challenges of adolescence, she begins to experience strange and vivid dreams, which seem to be connected to her reading and writing. Whisper of the Heart
