2 - Dsd

DSD works by encoding audio signals as a series of single-bit digital values, recorded at a very high sampling rate. This approach allows for a more accurate representation of the audio signal, resulting in a more detailed and nuanced sound. The first generation of DSD, also known as DSD1, offered a significant improvement over traditional digital audio formats. However, as technology advanced, the limitations of DSD1 became apparent. To address these limitations, the development of DSD 2 began.

What is DSD? Before diving into DSD 2, it’s essential to understand the basics of Direct Stream Digital. DSD is a digital audio format that was first introduced in the 1990s. It’s based on a technology developed by Sony and Philips, which aimed to create a digital format that could rival the quality of analog audio.
